That afternoon

That afternoon in your room
when you cried and I felt something loom.
You asked me why I can't love you
when leave me you'll never do.
You said you weren't like them,
you won't hurt me like other men.
And my heart just melt
by the sincerity of what you felt.
I fell for you just then,
and to love, I felt ready again.
From then I swore it would be you
and part from you I'll never do.
My heart said yes to you,
long before my lips uttered it too.
